Winter Solstice Fair Update

The Winter Solstice Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, 15 December, from 3:15 – 5:00 pm, after the Winter Concert(2-3pm). The Winter Solstice Fair this year is being organized by Crystal, Cheryl and Anne, and you are more than welcome to join the organization team and get involved in the decision-making process. As always, you are invited to come and join us for craft circle and parents’ meet-up on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to help get ready for the Winter Solstice Fair [location varies, please check the Calendar before you go]. There are lots ways you can help. In the final stretch of the preparations, we need volunteers for many small projects, such as putting felted acorns and acorn caps together, making 3D snowflakes and stars for the decorations, helping organize craft items for the fairy market and preparing felting kits for sale.

For parent elves, if you are making felted acorns, we would like you to submit your work by Wednesday, 2 December, so that we have time to attach acorn caps on them. If you are doing your own arts and crafts project(s), we would like you to submit your completed work by Wednesday, 9 December, so that we can sort and organize things. If you want to contribute baked treats for the Fairy Market, please contact Crystal (contact info listed below).

For the volunteering tasks on the day of the winter fair, an electronic sign-up sheet was sent out last week. Please contact Crystal if you can help.

Remember, your greatest contribution is your presence! Everyone gives in their own way and our wish is that everyone feels that they are part of the da Vinci school community.

A Green Winter Solstice FairLet’s have a Green Winter Solstice Fair! We need gently used gift bags, big or small, to pack up sale items, craftwork, and free craft materials. We need wrapping tissue to wrap fragile items. You are welcome to drop off used gift bags and used wrapping tissue in the designated box at room 309 by Wednesday, 9 December. It will be very much appreciated if you can fold them nicely before you drop them off.
