Wednesday May 10th, 2023 – Bike Parade & Morning Activities – Da Vinci & Lord Lansdowne
Overall:
The morning of Wednesday May 10th 2023, in the spirit of Earth Day, with a focus on healthy and sustainable transportation that is as inclusive as possible, Bike / Scooter / Walk / Stroller / Skate to school! Go your own route OR join the parade from Harbord St. to Lord Lansdowne / da Vinci!
Timeline:
7:30am – Bike Parade starts at Dufferin Grove Park. Community officers will ride along and keep us safe!
7:45am – Bike Parade arrives at Sussex Mews off Harbord, and the Parade of Wheels travels down to school.
8:00am till 8:40am – Bike activities on the tarmac.

Bike Parade Details:
The parade will start out from the Playground at Dufferin Grove park at 7:30am and travel the 3.2km route along Dewson St., then along Harbord past Robert St, and down the alley called Sussex Mews to Willcocks St., and then over to Robert for the home stretch of the journey. See the map below:

What’s happening between 8am – 8:40am at school?
- University of Toronto’s Bikechain will be holding free bike tune-ups
- There will be some bike giveaways from Bikechain.
- Coffee for parents/caregiver and timbits, apple slices for kids
- In order to be eco-friendly please bring your own water bottle or reusable cup for
drinking. - Obstacle course – Urbane Cycle along with parent volunteers will help arrange pylons and
sidewalk chalk for a fun loop kids can ride and scoot around on the tarmac north.
Parent Volunteers NEEDED!
Not biking or can arrive early?! Perfect! We need you to help setup. Put tables out, help with the
obstacle course, or food table? We need you at 7:30am at the school to help setup.
